| Parental Locks and How to Use Them |
Restrict viewing of programs based on password protected locks:
1.
Rating:
• Based on Motion Picture Association of America ratings
• Option to select additional protection based on expanded ratings such
as violence, language, nudity and sexual content
2. Specific Channels:
• Prevent anyone from viewing selected channels unless they enter the
correct password
• Lock any channel, including movie channels, Pay-Per-View and local
channels

can I lock Adult programming and Adult Pay-Per-View (PPV) channels? 1. Press the MENU button on the remote 2. Select LOCK PPV to lock Adult PPV 3. Next LOCK SYSTEM Note: If the channels are locked, but not hidden, the channels will still be shown in the Electronic Program Guide (EPG). |

if I forget my password? The receiver allows you three attempts to enter the correct password. If you fail to enter the correct password, the receiver does not allow you to try again for several minutes. If you forgot your password, you must call a DISH Network customer service representative at 1-888-284-7116 |

do I deactivate the Parental Controls and System Locks? 1. Select LOCKS from your main menu 2. You will be prompted for your 4-digit passcode 3. After entering your password, select UNLOCK SYSTEM and your locks will be deactivated. |

if my power goes out?Is it necessary to reset my Parental Controls and System
Locks?
No.
The information is stored on your receiver.
Important tips:
• If the receiver displays a message prompting you to enter a password,
the receiver is locked.
• When you lock a rating, you also lock all other more restrictive ratings.
For example, if you lock PG-13 rated programs, then all programs
with the R, NC-17 and NR/AO ratings are also locked.
